The Newsletter Subscription is based on Topics - therefore you need to create firstly your Topics (one or more).

Notice:

If there is only one topic available and the subscriber confirms the first time his mail address by using a valid hash, the subscriber will be subscribed to the single topic automatically! For that reason the subscriber record counts the login times.

With the Newsletters extension for TYPO3, you can add newsletter subscriptions for different topics directly to your website. Visitors can subscribe anonymously or as logged-in frontend users, choose topics individually, and confirm registration via double opt-in. Honeypot spam protection and PSR-14 events for subscribe and unsubscribe provide secure, extensible workflows. The Pro version adds a backend module, CSV export, and CleverReach synchronization.
