Please note that this documentation is for the most recent version of this extension. It may not be relevant for older versions. Related documentation can be found in the documentation directory of the extension.

Spam protection

The extension has protection against unwanted spam by using a so-called "honeypot" field. The field is hidden from human visitors and is therefore only filled in by robots. If the field is filled out, the newsletter registration will not be carried out.

To use this function, activate the Activate honeypot spam protection property in the Newsletters category in the constant editor.

When upgrading from a version below 2.2.0, please also note the information in the file Migration.en.md.

TYPO3 Newsletter Extension

TYPO3 Newsletters

With the Newsletters extension for TYPO3, you can integrate professional newsletter signups for different topics directly into your website. Visitors can subscribe anonymously or as logged-in frontend users, select topics individually, and confirm their subscription securely via double opt-in. Thanks to honeypot spam protection and PSR-14 events for subscribe and unsubscribe, the extension is flexible, secure, and easy to extend. The Pro version also includes a powerful backend module for managing topics, subscribers, and newsletters, including extended authorizations, direct dispatch of simple text newsletters, CSV exports, and synchronization with external services such as CleverReach.
