Why are images missing in the product list?

If images are missing in the product list after an extension update, an upgrade step may still be required.

Open the Upgrade module, go to Upgrade Wizards, and run the wizard EXT:shop: Migrate all showinpreview flags in file-references to preview.

After running the wizard, all images marked as preview images should be displayed correctly again.
